persephone hits the road
the rollerbag has been dragged out of the basement, the bedroom floor is a mess, covered with clothes, adaptor plugs, z-packs and backpacks
tomorrow my husband, daughter and i head out of town for 8 days.......and internet access permitting, i hope to provide some interesting posts from the road~
(a hint on our destination -- it figures largely in a song composed by andrew lloyd webber and tim rice ;-)
thanks, dear friends, and see you on the other side of the equator!
Enjoy your trip. I have a feeling you'll be going to Argentina.
ReplyDeleteGreat big fun to you! IS it Argentina? Shall I give you my cousin`s address?
ReplyDeleteloree and geli - you guys guessed it! i've never been south of the equator so this is a completely new experience --
ReplyDeletegeli- didn't know you had family there - how kind to send your cousins' address!
How fun! Looking forward to your next posts, Amanda and to Argentinian tango.
ReplyDeleteI have the same turquoise sarong! perfecto for beaches and holidays...Have lots and lots of fun!
ReplyDeleteAutumn in Baires, that's what I call perfection!
ReplyDeleteEat pleanty of lomito, participate in some kind of asado (to be had with lots of chimichurri) and to replenish your energy during tango marathons in neighborhood milongas, do as the Argentines do: drink Fernet & Coke.
Love the anticipation of travel, messy floor and all. How exciting!!
Buon viaggio and please please please PHOTOS!!!
Have a great trip! I look forward to your postings.
ReplyDeleteSafe travels and I do hope you get to post!
ReplyDeleteOoooh ...I cant wait to see the pictures....come on now Amanda..I know it sounds silly..but I travel the world, unearth treasures..with your eyes, your hands...your words and photos.Blessings on your journey,Cat
ReplyDeletePlease, amanda; don't hit the road too hard! I mean, what has it ever done to you?
ReplyDeleteMusical pair. You're going to a cat house, as per Cats. Oh no; words were by T.S. Eliot. Perhaps Jerusalem as in Jesus Christ, Superstar. Awfully dangerous to be going there at this time. We went 20 years ago, and it was plenty dangerous enough back then, when things were calm.
Somebody suggested Argentina. Sounds good. What sorts of things do you expect to unearth down there? Do you suspect Persephone lives there, when she's not living in Greece?
Other side of the Equator, I guess somewhere in South America then.;)
ReplyDeleteHave a great and safe trip and looking forward to get all the updates from your travels.;)
xoxo
