Deep in the mountains of Greece
one would hope the only obstacle is the sheep blockading the road
Got past them......but what's that ahead?
We'll let these unsuspecting folks pass through first.......
wondering if we dare
pass through this giant maw ourselves?
With the right perspective, that is a frightening passage.
ReplyDeleteOkay, so I'm assuming those last photos were the approach to the inmost cave--and you made it through!
ReplyDeleteThat is actually a cut in the rock over the road - no cave! I was a bit weirded out by the weight of it, but we passed under OK!
DeleteI'm sure the whole process was quite painless, as you are here to tell the story! A bit harrowing, nonetheless.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and Bear hugs, amanda!
:-) So Greek! love it!
ReplyDeleteI suppose a mountain eating a car could be described as fast food . . .
ReplyDeleteHahaha!! Good one DD!
DeleteNever saw anything like that. Around here, the farmers would be sued if someone's car was damaged by the sheep and the height of the rock overhead... I don't think our big trucks could pass under it - another lawsuit. So quaint and sweet.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many things like this in Greece - apparently they don't share our litigious nature about such things, thank Goddess :))
DeleteThat is so very amazing and just a little bit scary.
ReplyDeleteI'd be holding my breath the whole way!
ReplyDeleteYou are a brave woman to drive around Greece.
ReplyDeleteIt's actually not that bad — you just need to learn the local hand gestures for swearing and you're good to go! ;))
DeleteA cliffhanger, this...
ReplyDelete...of the most solid sort :))
