Goddesses in the Dust: Picasso's Inspiration?

Unearthing the divine feminine, one archetype at a time...

I admired this colossal head of Athena, made of Pentelic marble and dating to 29 B.C. - 14 A.D. on display in the National Archaeological Museum of Athens.

As I gazed at her,  I couldn't help but wonder...

if she might have been an inspiration

for many of Picasso's famous works?

  1. Oh I am certain of it. I love Picasso's work.

  2. what a terrific inspiration . . .

  3. You're on to a whole new category of writing!

  4. Cool! I know Picasso did find inspiration from the art of earlier ages and primitive art and the resemblance you found is striking. I love Picasso.

  5. Wow the resemblance is striking.
